قرر شاب إسباني يعاني من الاكتئاب أن يختفي فجأة عن عائلته والمجتمع الحضري بكامله، واختار العيش في غابة طوال عشرين عاماً.
عاشت عائلة الشاب الإسباني كارلوس سانشيز أورتيز دي سالازار فرحة كبيرة حين اكتشفت أن ابنها الذي هجرها حين كان في الـ 26 من عمره ما زال على قيد الحياة، بعدما يئسوا من البحث عنه وأعلنت وفاته عام 2010.
وعن كيفية العثور عليه، شرحت صحيفة دايلي ميل البريطانية أن رحلة التفتيش عن فطر في غابة طبيعية على ساحل ماريما شمال غابة توسكانا الإيطالية من قبل مجموعة مغامرين قادت إلى اكتشاف رجل كشف عن نفسه أمامهم فجأة لينصحهم بلغته الإسبانية بالابتعاد عن الغابة لتجنب الحيوانات المفترسة التي تملأ المكان.
ولم يتمكن هؤلاء المغامرون من متابعة الحديث معه لأنه سرعان ما توارى خلف الأشجار، لكن قصته سرعان ما ضجت في وسائل الإعلام بعدما تواصل المغامرون مع مؤسسة البحث عن المفقودين الإسبانيين.
وتمكنت المؤسسة من التواصل مع عائلته التي فقدت آخر بريق أمل في إعادة رؤيته مجدداً، وعلى الفور سافر والداه إلى إيطاليا بحثاً عن ابنهما لكنهما عادا بخيبة أمل بعدما اختفى مجدداً خافياً كل الأدلة التي تمكن من العثور عليه.
