في إعلان لوزارة التجارة والصناعة السعودية صرحت الوزارة ،أن السيدات السعوديات يمتلكن 375 مليار ريال سعودي في حسابتهن البنكية كودائع ، أي ما يعادل 100 مليار دولار. الأمر الذي دفع مجلس الغرف التجاري السعودي، قسم النساء، لتنظيم ورش عمل في مدن الرياض والدمام وجدة، من أجل حث النساء للمشاركة في مشروعات اقتصادية كبرى في المملكة. وأوضحت الوزارة أن تلك الورش سيحضرها عدد من المحاميات وسيدات الأعمال السعوديات؛ للتوعية بأهمية الاستثمار في المملكة، لدعم الاقتصاد السعودي، كما سيتم مناقشة أهم العقبات التي تواجه سيدات الأعمال السعوديات. ووفقًا للاحصاءات فأن حوالي 5.1% من القوى العاملة في سوق العمل السعودي من النساء، وهو ما يمثل 49.6% من مجموع السكان.
