اعتبر نجم برنامج Arab Idolمحمد عسَّاف محمد عسَّاف أن نجاحه يستفزّ زميلته دنيا بطمة، التي اتهمته بأنه مغرور ويتنكَّر لمن وقف إلى جانبه في بداياته الفنية، متسائلاً:
“هي قبلي في الفن.. ماذا فعلتْ”؟!
وفي حوارٍ مع “سيّدتي”، على هامش احتفاله بصدور ألبومه الجديد في دبي، قال عسَّاف في حوارٍ مصوَّر: “أنا مستاء ممَّا قلته عني، ولم أتخيَّل أنه سيأتي منكِ. وفي النهاية أنا لم أقابلكِ إلا مرة واحدة في حياتي، فلِمَ كل هذا الحقد”؟!
وختم محبوب العرب رسالته الخاصة إلى دنيا بطمة، التي حلَّت في المرتبة الثانية ضمن البرنامج نفسه أمام المصرية كارمن سليمان، قائلاً: “أتمنى لكِ التوفيق وأن تكوني الفنانة التي ترضين عنها. وإذا بدِّك تغلطي عليّ، ما رح رد عليكِ. الله يوفقك بس”.
