يقول المتقاعد آيمتي أحميتي من منطقة شينجيانغ ذاتية الحكم، أنه تعرف على زوجته آزاتهان سافوتي (113 سنة) في دار العجزة في شهر ديسمبر/كانون الأول عام 2013 . ويضيف، أن فرق العمر بينه وبين حبيبته لا يعني شيئا، "لا يهمني عمرها أبدا، نحن سعداء، وهي لطيفة جدا ودائما تناولني قطعة لحم من وجبة الغداء". المدهش أن الزوجين يبدوان وكأنهما لم يتجاوزا الـ 60 سنة من العمر.
أما الزوجة فتقول إنها لم توافق على الزواج من جارها في دار العجزة فورا، لأنها كانت تعتقد أنها قد شاخت جدا. وتضيف :" ولكن بالرغم من رفضي الزواج مرات عديدة، لم يفقد العاشق الأمل، واستمر في الحاحه حتى بلغ هدفه المنشود".
وافقت آزاتهان على الزواج في شهر ابريل/نيسان الماضي وقبل أيام جرت في دار العجزة التي يقيمان فيها مراسم زواجهما.
