من الغريب والطريف ان يتم اعفاء مجرم من عقوبة الحبس بسبب طوله وعدم وجود سرير مناسب لطوله بالرغم من ارتكابه العديد من جرائم السرقة وهذا الشخص هو شاب عمره 23 عام واسمه مدكالف ويبلغ طوله 218 سم وهذا الطول كان سبب فى عدم دخوله السجن . وامرت محكمة التاج فى مدينة اكستير بإخلاء سبيله وذلك لمواجهته مشكله عدم وجود سرير يناسب طوله بعد ان امضى 75 يوم محتجز على ذمة التحقيق. ويعانى هذا الشاب من حالة نادرة تعمل على زيادة طوله بإستمرار وتعطيه شعور المراهقة . وقررت المحكمة حظره من التجوال لمدة 6 شهور وان يقوم بخدمة المجتمع 12 شهر وذلك تعويضا عن الفترة التى كان مقرر ان يتم حبسه فيها
